(the establishment of species beyond their historical range) are
a major force for ecological and evolutionary change.
Spread of invasive species is one of the most significant aspects in modern transformation in biodiversity and ecosystem functions in most environments around the globe.
Due to increasing spread of non-native species to ecosystems, it becomes particulary crucial not only to understand factors that are driving observed patterns of species invasions, but also to develop methods for successful management to restore native communities.
Our projects are design to seek understanding of the factors that are driving observed patterns of biological invasions and to develop the methods for future management, and restoring native biodiversity and ecosystem functions in western riparian habitats.
