Valerie Lee

Val is pursuing an opportunity to make as massive of an impact as she can to help diminish this global climate crisis. Working in watershed conservation with CCBER and volunteering on weekends with the RiVR Lab on riparian restoration sites has excited a passion in her for this solution-based, interdisciplinary, and thoroughly fulfilling environmental work. Her future plans include studying oceans, coast, and wildlife conservation in South Africa during Summer 2015, writing a senior thesis on her research of the viability of climate-induced, assisted migration as a possible restoration technique for the future, and additionally expanding her research on climate change resilience strategies by pursuing an M.A. starting Fall 2016.
