Mission Statement: The TRC is an interdisciplinary team investigating the ecology and evolution of Tamarix species in the western United States. The TRC team merges expertise in ecophysiology, ecohydrology, stable isotope ecology, genetics, plant – herbivore interactions and community ecology with a core mission of understanding the complex relationship between Tamarix and its environment. We combine field studies, controlled experimental manipulations and modeling approaches to support the restoration, conservation, and management of highly-valued riparian ecosystems that are now dominated by Tamarix
